Topics in Forensic DNA Blog

Welcome to my blog. I've been planning to writing a series of blog posts for some time about various topics in forensic DNA that I think would be of interest. Now that I'm sheltering in place to avoid COViD-19 and my court dates have been cancelled, I've got plenty of time to do so.

Forensic DNA is full of technical jargon and acronyms that can make a crime lab report bewildering to the average reader.

Hopefully, I'll manage to keep the prose in plain English and translate the science into English. The reason that DNA reports are so technical is that they must be precise and there is often a trade off between precision and clarity. So if you're a lawyer, a judge, student doing a high school report or just curious, this blog is for you.

Sincerely,
